The Shepherd House Titans

The Shepherd House's track and field team. Originally the Shepherd House Saints, the team was renamed after years of deadlock between the student body — who persistently voted for "geoduck" as their proposed mascot — and the board of directors, who put forward a series of alternatives that the students declined to vote on. The board eventually exercised unilateral naming authority, selecting the Titans. The student body has never formally conceded.
