Twin of Ophelia Hale, born Nov 6, 1932. Founder of Luna Obscura. The BBEG. Attended and graduated from the Shepherd House (1957), briefly joined the Sidereal Council (~1960), then was banished (~1962) for attempting to merge soul to body in an effort to reincarnate her hate — breaking the Council's most sacred law. Resurfaced ~1980 as headmistress of Artemis Hall in Bellevue. One of only two beings who know the full scope of what Heirs are.

Odette is the axis around which the entire modern Cycle turns. The banishment was not a defeat — it was a delay. Everything she has done since 1962 has been preparation. Luna Obscura, Artemis Hall, the accumulation of power: all of it is prologue to the same project that got her banished. She and Morganstern are the only entities who understand what Heirs truly are. That knowledge asymmetry is the source of her strategic advantage. The players will never catch up to her until they understand what they are, and she will control when — or if — that happens.
