Thomasin
Born May 4, 2007. First of two Fletcher children and older sister to Georgie. Heir of Iron / Witch of Blood. Boon of Confronting, Hex of Overpowering. One of the six — a frontliner and breaker who turns damage endured into damage returned.
Biography
At a glance: frontliner/breaker, older sister to Georgie, delinquent on last strike, body-first magic with catastrophic recoil. Outside transformation, Thomasin is a 16-year-old high schooler and a county-level "problem child" on her last strike with state systems. She wears a cynical, system-weary facade, but underneath it is an almost uncanny kinetic mastery over her own body: flawless balance, exacting aim, and sharp maneuvering that she uses to survive the city and protect Georgie. As the Heir of Iron, her baseline magic is physical, defensive, and structured. She manifests dense dermal armor across her skin, absorbing impacts, resisting piercing force, and turning herself into a literal shield for others. As the Witch of Blood, she inverts that discipline into violent conversion: accumulated pain, open wounds, and internal trauma become raw kinetic output. She can weaponize injury into explosive strikes and shock-force breaches. Her Boon of Confronting passively draws aggregate attention — enemies find it harder to bypass her when she stands her ground. Actively, she can lock her stance into place and become briefly immune to knockback, forced movement, and staggering impacts. Her Hex of Overpowering is triggered by shattering a layer of her own iron armor or reopening a closing wound. The release is a brutal shockwave of kinetic-blood force that fractures enemy lines and shatters defenses at severe cost to her own stability. Resource model: Pain and Injury Threshold. Thomasin runs a high-risk attrition engine — she must absorb damage to fuel her inversion, always fighting at the edge of what her body can survive. Failure state: Collapse and Hemorrhage. Overuse causes agonizing muscular rigidity, internal bleeding, bursting capillaries, and lasting scar tissue as her body fails to contain converted force. Signature move: Hit It Til It Breaks. A non-Heir adrenaline override where Thomasin brute-forces past her own safety limits to perform brief feats of impossible strength — less finesse, more refusal to break.

GM Notes
Tone line: "Her magic doesn't sing; it groans like straining rebar under a collapsing high-rise, smelling of cold rust and the hot, iron tang of her own spilled blood." Thomasin is the team's defensive cornerstone. She absorbs pressure, then breaks formations with converted trauma. Her damage profile should always feel expensive. Compared to Abby (ethical erosion) and Eva (ego blur), Thomasin's horror is bluntly physical: pain budget, scar budget, and survival margin.
